Meet Lesley Franklin

Lesley was Principal of George Heriot’s School Edinburgh and retired in 2021 after 26 years at the school. After retiring, she undertook an MLitt in Art History at her alma mater, the University of St Andrews. She then spent 4 months at Sotheby’s in London learning about Art Business.

Lesley purchased the gallery at 53 South Street (formerly Fraser Gallery) in May 2024 and has renamed, rebranded and added a very large number of new artists to the gallery.

A keen art collector for many years, Lesley is passionate about helping others to grow their collections. She is also keen to continue to increase links and collaborations locally and much more widely.

Lesley is on the Boards of Leith School of Art, Edinburgh and St Leonards School, St Andrews.

In her spare time, Lesley likes walking her dogs, running, playing golf, reading and cooking.
