Jack Morrocco
Recognised as one of Scotland’s leading painters, Jack Morrocco studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design, followed by time at Hospitalfield House under Peter Blake. He later received the Farquhar Reid Travelling Scholarship, studying in Paris and Florence. After years working in design, Jack returned full time to painting in 1997 and now works from his studio in Fife.
Jack’s work is known for its vibrant palette and fluid movement across still life, landscape, and figurative subjects. His painterly approach shifts with the scene—capturing the reflections of a lily pond or the warmth of a Mediterranean market—always aiming to say more with less, leaving space for the viewer’s imagination.
He has exhibited widely in Edinburgh, London, New York, and the South of France. A longtime collaborator with Fraser Gallery St Andrews, Jack continues to explore new directions in his evolving practice, most recently turning his attention to the changing beauty of waterlilies at the St Andrews Botanic Garden.
